February 3, 2017 Members Laureate of BMDAC, Professors and Drs. Rui Wang, Mingyao Liu, Renke Li, Lingyun Wu, and Fang Liu have attended SCBA Toronto Chapter 2017 Conference, which is held in St. Michael's Hospital, Toronto. Dr. Rui Wang, Vice President of Laurentian University, was invited to give a presentation. Dr. Mingyao Liu, Director of Institute of Medical Science (IMS), U of T, Dr. Renke Li, Former Chair of SCBA and Dr. Fang Liu, Professor, U of T have involved in organizing this conference as executive committee members. Dr. Lingyun Wu, Professor of Laurentian University has also been invited to attend the conference. February 5, 2017, Consul General Mr. Xue, Bing invited those professors to have lunch at his residence.

Jan 26, 2017, Spring Festival Gala was held by the Consulate General at Toronto Diaoyutai State Banquet Ballroom. Our members have been invited by Consul General, Mr. Xue, Bing to celebrate the traditional Chinese Lunar New Year, the Year of the Rooster.

Graduation Ceremony and Christmas Party of BMDAC |
December 21, 2016 Graduation ceremony of Clinical Fellowship for Drs. Cong Chen，Gaohua Han，Yong Meng and Christmas Party of BMDAC have been held on December 21, 2016. Dr. Errett, President of BMDAC, Mr. Shen, Jianlei, Counsellor, Mr. Wu, Shanlue, Consul，Chinese Consulate of Toronto, attended the event and gave the speeches, respectively. Three Chinese physicians have also delivered the speeches to thank BMDAC providing the opportunity of training, and then, they received the certificates and memberships presented by Dr. Errett. After that, Dr. David Dai, Secretary General briefly introduced and reported the academic exchanging programs launched by BMDAC in the last five years. Mr. Wang, Chief Representative, Eastern China, summarized the two medical trips of 2016 and reported the positive feedback from local hospitals. Mr. Shen and Mr. Wu were highly impressed by the previous work from our association and expressed that they will continually support BMDAC for promoting medical exchanging programs between Canada and China. The event was host by Dr. Zhou, Vice President of BMDAC. Dr. William Yang, Vice President, Ms. Catherine Chen, Deputy Secretary General, Dr. Deng and Mr. Ruijun Wang, Director of CGCTV also attended the event.

Visiting Scholars from China |
Dec 12, 2016: Dr. Zhi Lin (cardiac surgeon) and Dr. Feifei Chai (anesthetist) from Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital have finished their three months visiting scholarship at St. Mary's Hospital. In the meantime, Dr. Cong Chen (spine surgeon) and Dr. Yong Meng (orthopedic surgeon) from Weihai Municipal Hospital have started their three months visiting scholarship at St. Michael's Hospital, under the supervision of Dr. Ginsberg and Dr. Ahn. Dr. Gaohua Han (oncologist) from Taizhou People's Hospital has started his three months visiting scholarship at the Princess Margaret Hospital under the supervision of Dr. Eric Chen.
