Dr. Crummey has spent his whole career in community based primary care in Ontario. After graduating from medical school at the University of Toronto he did a residency in family medicine at the Ottawa Civic hospital before beginning family practice in Manotick Ontario. Since 1981 he has practiced in the Mount Dennis Weston area of Toronto, associated with the Humber River Hospital. During that time, he has served on many hospital committees and was a founding member of the Humber River Family Health Team. He served many years as an examiner for the College of Family Practice residency exams. He currently teaches second year students and Family Practice residents through the department of Family and Community medicine at the University of Toronto while continuing in active family practice.
