Professor Xudong Ma is a senior hematologist and the president in Zhangzhou Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University. She received bachelor’s degree in Fujian Medical University in 1982 and Master degree in 2000. She was a visiting scholar in hospital management at Houston Memorial Health Care System in USA from 1994 to 1995. She received postdoctoral training in research at New York Medical College in USA from 2003-2004. She currently is a supervisor for master’s and doctoral degree students at Fujian Medical University. Under her guidance more than 50 students have graduated and received master and doctor degree. Professor Ma has led her research team to study histone acetylaton and methylation and other epignetics in leukemia and others carcinoma. Her work has been financially supported by several research grants, including National Health Ministry research foundation and Fujian science and technology research funding and Fujian medical university research funding. She has published more than 60 clinical and research articles and received research award from Fujian province government. Professor Ma currently is Vice Chairman of Fujian Hematology Association and Vice Chairman of Fujian Internal Medicine Association.
