Wuhan University of Science and Technology's clinical scientific research and English teaching ability improvement distance teaching project successfully completed

Bethune Medical Development Association of Canada and Wuhan University of Science and Technology co-organized the " Clinical Research and English Teaching Ability Improvement Training Course" from November 21st to November 30th. The completion certificates of the students who successfully completed all the project studies were issued.

A total of 11 courses are set up in this project, taught by 9 professors from the University of Toronto and the University of Calgary in Canada. The content covers four sections: medical education, clinical research, English teaching and general practice base establishment. BMDAC applied the Zoom teaching platform dedicated to university teaching to ensure the stable operation of distance teaching. The implementation of WeCom provided efficient teaching arrangements with more than 100 students, including teaching materials, class calls, homework releases, and teaching effect evaluation.

The curriculum was tailored for this project by all parties after six months of preparation. Three specific interactive ways are determined before class, during class and after class based on the characteristics of distance teaching. Some video materials related to the course were played through the Zoom half an hour before each course to help students have a three-dimensional understanding of Canadian health care system. BMDAC invited all students to conduct a project review of the entire course after the course was completed. The multi-angle and whole-process interactive design provided various sources of information to the maximum in the virtual space and created an online teaching project solution full of professional characteristics and information volume.
