Consul General Mr. Han, Tao Meets with Members of BMDAC |
December 24, 2022 On December 20, 2022, Consul General Mr. Han, Tao met with Dr. Errett, president of BMDAC and other members at his residence. Mr. Peng, Hao, Counsellor and Ms. Feng, Ying, Consul of Technology of Science accompanied the meeting. Consul General Han extended his heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Errett on winning the 2021 Chinese Government Friendship Award. December 3, 2022 On December 3, 2022, Cong Peiwu, Ambassador to Canada, attended and delivered a speech at the 2021 Chinese Government Friendship Award Ceremony hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Canada. The opening paragraph of the speech is as follows: Dear Professor Errett, Dear representatives of Bethune Medical Development Association of Canada, ladies and gentlemen: In the beautiful season of early winter in Ottawa, the 2021 Chinese Government Friendship Award Ceremony was grandly held at the Chinese Embassy in Canada. On behalf of the Chinese embassy in Canada, I would like to extend warm Congratulations to the president of the Bethune Medical Development Association of Canada, Professor Lee Edward Errett, for receiving the 2021 Chinese Government Friendship Award. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to BMDAC for its efforts to enhance the people-to-people bond between China and Canada and promote the development of China-Canada relations!

Nov 19, 2022 Invited by Tangshan Gongren Hospital, arranged by BMDAC, Dr. Anthony Poulin, an interventional cardiologist from Quebec Heart and Lung Institute gave Zoom lectures to doctors at Tangshan Gongren Hospital. The topics are: Lecture #1: TAVI assessment in 2022 - Anatomy, indications and pitfalls in aortic insufficiency Lecture #2: TAVI in clinical practice - Choosing the best valve for the right patient BMDAC president, Dr. Lee Errett delivered an introduction speech.
